Support - Kōkua
Since our humble beginnings in 1999, we have never charged our audience to attend performances. We do this to encourage individuals and entire families to look beyond their usual entertainment and enjoy high quality choral performances right here on the Big Island.
However, times have changed. We are now required to pay for certain production and overhead costs that used to be covered by our previous director or are the result of new policies at our concert venues. We would also like to cover some of the driving expenses of our singers who come from as far away as Hilo to attend weekly (or more!) rehearsals and performances up in Waimea and Kohala.
Please consider becoming an official supporter of The Waimea Consort by making a tax-deductible donation to our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization so we can keep our concerts free to the public. And, if you make a donation, it can be listed in our concert program and/or on this website if you'd like! We appreciate your kōkua (help)!
